Play Ball!  This year’s world series, bryween the Colorado Rockies and Boston Red Sox, began Saturdsay night in Fenway Park.  Colorado won the National League wild card, while Boston held on to caputre the American League title durimg the regular season.

     In game one, Boston red hot Josh Beckett took the mound for a game the Rockies would like to forget.  The Rockies scored only one run, in the first inning, against Beckett during the seven innings that he pitched.  The Red Sox made it look like batting practice as their thirteen-run rampage ties an all-time record forost runs scored in a world series game.

     Gsme two was much closer with the Red Sox pukking out a 2-1 victory.  They lead the series 2-0 as it shifts to Colorado tomorrow night.  If the Rockies are going to win, they have toore careful on the bases, more alert at the plate, and more agrssive in the field.
